Credit union funds are insured to an aggregate of $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the United States government, through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).
It’s the strongest of the federal savings insurance funds protecting consumers today. Plus, credit union Individual Retirement Account (IRA) funds are also protected separately for an additional $250,000. That’s safety you can count on.
