What is the Credit Union's ABA or routing number for my accounts?
255077833 is the Credit Union's routing number (also known as a transit number or ABA number). It is the first set of numbers shown on your check.

How can I get my account number if I can't remember it?
To get your account number visit any branch, look at your most recent statement, refer to the Member ID card you received when you opened your account or find it on your NASA Federal checks. It is in the second grouping of numbers on your check. More recent checks have the new 14 character MICR line. If your checks have 14 characters, your account number is indicated within the brackets. Older checks have a 13 character MICR line. If your checks have 13 characters, you will not have the last number outside the brackets; your account number is the last characters from the right. In either case, you can ignore any preceding zeroes.

Can I transfer funds between my NASA Federal account and another financial institution? If so, how do I set this up?
Yes, members are able to transfer funds between their NASA Federal accounts and other financial institutions when logged into eBranch. To make a transfer between NASA Federal accounts simply log into eBranch and select "Transfers" on the top navigation bar. Here you'll be able to set up immediate, one-time or recurring transfers between your NASA Federal accounts.To make a transfer between your NASA Federal account and another financial institution, simply log into eBranch, select "Transfers" on the top navigation bar and then select "Other Institutions." Here you'll need to enter the Routing and Transit Number, account information and agree to the terms. We would need to send a small verification amount to the institution prior to transferring to/from the accounts. Once you see the verification amount in the other financial institutions account, you would log back into eBranch and enter the verification amount sent to the other institution. Once the verification amount is entered correctly, you will be able to schedule transfers between institutions.

Is there a way I can pay my auto loan online? Or does it need to be through phone or mail?
Members are able to make payments toward loans online. To make a payment, the funds would need to be available for transactions in your credit union account and then transferred to the loan using eBranch. Simply log into eBranch and select “Transfers” from the top level navigation. Here you can transfer between NASA Federal accounts or Outside Institutions.

You can also make payments from other institutions using Pay My Loan, which is located under Online Services on the NASA Federal homepage.You can set up automatic payments and the frequency of those payments from another financial institution in eBranch or through Pay My Loan as well.

You may also mail your payment to: NASA Federal Credit Union, PO Box 1910, Bowie MD 20717 or visit any NASA Federal Credit Union branch locations or Shared CO-Op Service Centers.

Or, you may call the Member Services Department at 301-249-1800 or toll free at 1-888-NASA-FCU (627-2328); Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm EST or Saturday from 9am to 2pm EST. We can take a payment by phone using your Routing/Transit Number and Account Number. There is a $10 processing fee per transfer into a loan or share account.

How do I become a member of NASA Federal Credit Union?

Do you offer wire transfers? What information is required, and when do you process wire transfers?
Yes, you can wire funds to and from NASA Federal. We must receive your wire transfer request by 1:30 pm Eastern Time to process it the same day. Learn more or contact us for details.

Can I change my address, e-mail address and phone numbers online?
Yes, you may change your contact information online after logging in to eBranch. Once you're logged in, click "Settings" located at the top of the screen. A drop down will appear with “Contact Info” located on the left hand side. Select to update your “Username,” “Email,” “Password,” and “Address/Contact Information” and follow the prompts.You may also change your address by completing, signing and submitting the Member Information Update Form. You may submit the form to any branch office, fax it to 301-249-0587 or mail it to:

How do I make a credit card payment online?

I applied for a loan. How will I find out if I'm approved?
Once a decision has been made on the application you will be notified either by telephone or by mail. You may also check your application status at anytime by contacting our Member Service Department on 301-249-1800 or toll-free at 1-888-NASA-FCU (627-2328), ext. 200.

Can I transfer higher rate credit card balances to my NASA Federal Credit Card online?
Yes, you can visit www.nasafcu.com/btnow to complete a balance transfer online.You may also download a Visa balance transfer form online, complete, and submit it to the NASA Federal Visa Department. In addition, you may contact the Visa Department directly at 301-249-1800 or toll-free at 1-888-NASA-FCU (627-2328), ext. 201 to initiate a balance transfer to your NASA Federal credit card.
