As news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues, we want you to know that there is no higher priority than the health and well-being of our members and employees. This webpage will be regularly updated as changes occur.

Financial Relief for Members

Together, we are adhering to recommendations to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. As a result, many throughout the country have been impacted financially. We are here to help you during this time of need and are offering members financial relief where possible. To discuss relief options, please call us at 1-888-NASA-FCU (627-2328) 1 8 8 8 6 2 7 2 3 2 8.

No Fee Skip-A-Payment

If you have an eligible loan or credit card and are struggling to make a payment, we're offering a no fee Skip-A-Pay should you need it. To initiate your skip, log in to eBranch, click "Services" from the top navigation, and then select either "Skip Loan Payment" or "Skip Credit Card Payment."

Mortgage Loan Assistance

You may be eligible for up to 90 days of payment forbearance or deferral for mortgage payments. Please call us at 1-888-NASA-FCU 1 8 8 8 6 2 7 2 3 2 8 to discuss options or simply complete this Mortgage Deferral Request Form.

Refunds for Certain Fees

We know every dollar counts when you’re unsure of when your next paycheck will come. That’s why we’re working with impacted members to refund certain fees so you can focus on more pressing needs. Please call us at 1-888-NASA-FCU 1 8 8 8 6 2 7 2 3 2 8 to discuss options.

NASA Federal Preparations for COVID-19

NASA Federal leadership is actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health authorities. Due to the escalating public health situation, we believe it is in the best interests of both our members and employees to limit person-to-person interactions at this time.

Effective March 23, 2020, all NASA Federal branches will temporarily suspend branch lobby access. Outside ATMs will be available at all branch locations and drive-thru teller or remote teller service will be available at the Collington, Columbia, Greenbelt, and Oak Hall locations. Should you need in-person assistance, please call us at 301-390-4537 3 0 1 3 9 0 4 5 3 7This is a temporary phone number to assist with branch-related transactions only.

Rest assured, we have increased our Contact Center staffing and we’re here for you by telephone, email, eBranch, or Mobile App. If you need help, financial assistance or have been impacted directly, simply call us, send a secure message, or email support@nasafcu.com

As a reminder, our eBranch Online Banking and Mobile App with Remote Deposit allow you to conduct your everyday banking without having to visit a branch. To best prepare for increased public health concerns, please ensure you can access your accounts via these digital channels. As always, you continue to have full access to your money on deposit, which is insured up to $250,000 by NCUA.

IRS Stimulus Payment

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides emergency relief to assist individuals and businesses during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Depending on your most recent tax returns, you could be eligible for a stimulus payment. 

Below are a few frequently asked questions and answers that may help you.

  • When will I see my payment? Visit the IRS "Get My Payment" website to see the status of your payment or to check your eligibility.
     
  • My stimulus payment will arrive via direct deposit. Is there a way to notify me when it's available? As a NASA Federal Member, you can set up an eAlert to see when a payment is deposited your account. It's simple! Log into your account, click Services and then Manage eAlerts. You can elect to receive an email or a text message.
     
  • I received a stimulus check. Do I have to go to the branch? If you have the NASA Federal Mobile Banking App, you can deposit your check remotely! Simply tap the Remote Deposit button, endorse your check as indicated and snap a picture. 
     
  • I received a check in error. How do I return it? You can visit the IRS website regarding check returns (Question #41), which provides instructions for the state in which you reside.
