What Is Visa Secure?

Visa Secure protects your card and your identity online by requiring extra verification, making online shopping safer and more secure. 

This free service adds a security layer to purchasing online by authenticating you as the genuine cardholder. How? By requiring you to enter a password or a one-time code that is sent to your phone or email during checkout. This process not only verifies your identity with the merchant but also with NASA Federal.

How It Works:

  1. Enroll: Register your Visa card by sending us an email. 
  2. Shop: When you shop online at a participating merchant, the Visa Secure logo may appear. 
  3. Verification: An additional check is launched to confirm your identity. 
  4. Confirmation: You'll be prompted to enter the password or code sent to your phone/email to complete the transaction. 
  5. Protection: If successful, the purchase proceeds, and your card is protected from unauthorized use.
