CARD FRAUD ALERTS

If the security of your NASA Federal Credit Card or Debit Card is compromised in any way, you’ll be the first to know with our Card Fraud Alert service. 

This valuable feature monitors your card for fraudulent transactions and sends you an immediate text alert if any suspicious activity is detected. You can instantly respond to the texts to verify transactions and take action to protect your account from fraud. And the best part is that this service is automatically included on all NASA Federal credit card and debit cards!

More Alerts for More Control

Did you know you can also receive alerts for specific transactions? That's right! You can set alerts when your card is used internationally, if a transaction limit is reached, if you card is used online or in-store, and for many merchant types. 

Here is how to get started:

1. Enroll in Online Banking: If you've never logged into Online Banking, enroll today!

2. Confirm your mobile phone number: Once logged in, choose Tools & Settings,  Settings, Contact and make sure you have a mobile phone number confirmed for text messages (SMS). If not, add your number and follow the prompts.

3. Manage your alerts: Choose Manage Cards, and choose your card. When you choose Manage Card Alerts, you can specify which alerts you'd like to receive.

 

To unsubscribe from this service, send a text message that says STOP to 94209. You will receive an opt-out confirmation.

*NASA Federal does not charge a fee for the use of Card Fraud Alerts. Your mobile service carrier or provider may impose data usage or text message charges for your use of, or interactions with, Card Fraud Alerts.

 

Card Fraud Alerts Disclosure

You agree to provide the Credit Union with a valid mobile number. You agree that the Credit Union may send you text messages through your wireless provider. Card Fraud Alerts will be sent through U.S. carriers only and does not include international service. The Credit Union does not charge for Card Fraud Alerts, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless service provider.

 

You understand and agree that text messages may include personal or confidential information about you such as your account activity or the status of your account. The Credit Union shall not be responsible for the confidentiality, privacy or data security of any information sent to you through text messaging.

 

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Credit Union harmless from any third party claims. liability, damages or costs arising from your use of Card Fraud Alerts or from you providing us with a mobile phone number that is not your own.

 

You agree that the Credit Union will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Card Fraud Alerts service; any errors in such information; any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information; or any disclosure of account information to third parties resulting from your use of the Card Fraud Alerts service. The Credit Union will not be liable to you for special, indirect or consequential damages.

Confidential information such as account numbers and social security numbers should not be sent by email for security reasons. Instead, please contact us directly at 1-888-NASA-FCU, send us a secure message through Online Banking or Mobile Banking, or visit your nearest branch.
